Intolerant liberals and gay “marriage” supporters show their intolerance by bullying a KY clerk.
Intolerance is on the rise, and it is especially on the rise against anyone who claims to be or even somewhat resembles a truly conservative Christian. In particular, liberals, who are supposed to be known for compassion and caring, have become the most intolerant of all. It appears you must now be an intolerant liberal to be of a liberal mindset at all.I wrote not too long ago in “Christ’s Justice, Fairness and Forgiveness Vs Secularism” about how we actually create injustices in this world by thinking we know better than God. Specifically addressing societal reluctance to uphold the death penalty, I wrote:
What is the end result of putting our own views of morality above God’s? We cage people up for the rest of their lives, ensuring that they will never be productive members of society. In some cases, they have nothing better to do than either think up ways to escape or otherwise cause trouble with endless legal entanglements.
Not only does thinking we know more than God (which can and does include conservatives these days) lead to the oppression of those most helpless in this society (unborn fetuses, anyone?), but it actually causes inequalities. Not the least of these inequalities is the tolerance of any religion, no matter how hateful, except Christianity.
Interestingly, they will deny it to your face, but all the while the news stories that do filter through point to the truth if only one will focus on it instead of closing their eyes.
Meanwhile, all sorts of illogical and emotionally laden arguments are being made for and against the actions of one clerk who decided to stand her ground on her principles. In particular, it shows just how “tolerant” gay rights supporters really are. Let’s look at some real facts, shall we?
It Is in the Constitution
It is explicitly in the Bill of Rights that the state will not infringe upon a person’s right to worship as they seem fit. There is no criteria listed as to whether or not that person is “sincere” or “un-hypocritical” or other similar adjectives. There is no criteria as to how they interpret the Bible, which passages they ignore, etc.
OTOH, despite what some idiot judges want to rewrite into law, there is none, nada, zip mention of equality in marriage or sexual preferences, let alone “gay marriage” which combines the two.
Gays have no rights other than what is specified for the general population, but they want special treatment. End of story.
Others have been prohibited from marrying for various reasons, and the objections in the past have been based upon a biblical understanding of marriage. I predict* within 50 years, and I’m being quite cautious in my prediction, that marriage to more than one partner will be legal. In fact, if the institution of marriage lasts that long, other forms of “marriage”, such as between siblings and other abominations, will be allowed by law.
* NOTE: I am not a prophet, nor do I play one on TV. If this were a prophetic prediction, I would tell you so.
It’s Like (Fill In the Blank)
If you trot out examples of comparisons, you need to be careful about whether or not you are comparing the same things. Apples and oranges, anyone?
Some actual fallacious examples:
- It is like doctor getting a degree and refusing to vaccinate because he is an anti-vaxxer.
- It is like a gun shop clerk who refuses to sell guns because she is anti-gun.
- It is like a stripper whose religious beliefs prohibit undressing in public, so she sits in the dressing room all night instead.
None of these are comparable, and there is one simple reason that seems to be conveniently ignored by the “news” media and liberals alike: Those listed above are preconditions of the job. Davis is being punished for the rules being changed after she was voted into office!
Of course, why let a fact like that get in the way of your absolute hatred?
Protestors Did not Want Her Jailed
Then why did they bully her everyday? Why were intolerant liberals haranguing her on the nightly news?
As we say back home, I call “Bull!” on this one!
The fact is they want their way, and it does not matter who gets hurt in the process, just as the men of Sodom wanted their way and did not care whether or not the strangers wanted to have anything to do with them.
People claim you cannot equate homosexuality and violence, but facts are stubborn things.
She Was Married 4 Times
So what?
There are 2 stubborn facts here:
- She converted to Christianity after those divorces. It is sad when intolerant liberals twist a change of heart into hypocrisy.
- Christianity is first and foremost based upon forgiveness of sins. The key is that you must repent of your sins and accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Even mainstream Christianity understands that much. Intolerant liberals do not, nor do they want to. Kim Davis has apparently been forgiven of her sins, while so many gay “marriage” proponents want to destroy themselves and the country by not only continuing in their sins but by approving of those who do and assassinating the character of anyone who disagrees with them.
The Bottom Line
In the end, Kim Davis should be given a medal for standing up for her beliefs. I’m not saying that getting a medal should be the motivating factor, but she is obviously a war hero in a fight for the spiritual soul of this country. Liberalism and its relaxing of the morals that hold society together and the greed of financial conservatives are simultaneous cancers on this nation.
We should not be blind, brethren, to what is going on around us. I don’t think many of us are, but I do ponder a question that at least two others I know of have: “How many of us who believe God and His word and His law are going to be put on the hot seat of choosing God’s way or humans’ way faced with the prospect of losing everything if we choose God’s way? How many will follow through? Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and Daniel?”
