So, I’m sure you may be wondering about why I am moving the blog. There are several reasons, actually:
1. Airset is nice, but it requires a separate login. Also, Airset is designed more for collaboration of group activities. Moving the blog will give it a more public audience and anyone with Gmail can login and post a comment.
2. Having done a search, there are many COG web sites, but no blogs that I can find. It looks like this is needed, and making it publicly available may fit a need.
3. This will separate it out from church and personal activities. I don’t really like how things are mixed together right now, and this blog is not necessarily representative of any particular COG organization. I don’t want this blog to be construed to be anything except the result of my own personal Bible study and resulting convictions. Naturally, if I do diverge (even if unintentionally) from my church organization’s teachings, I do not want them to be misrepresented even tangentially.
Having said that, there is one noticeable downside. The wiki will no longer be tied into the same site as the blog. However, it seems that both suffer when I try to concentrate on both of them. The simplest answer is to concentrate on the blog, and when enough blog articles are created, then those pages could be put into a wiki format. So, in the future, I plan on concentrating on blog articles with the intention of later revising them into wiki articles.
I should add that some articles (the ones I want to keep) will be reposted as a result of this move, but I will be updating them first.
