AsiaNews.it reported on 23 April “Pope: the Bible must be interpreted within the magisterium of the Church”.
In regard to the Bible – Old and New Testament – scholarly study of the texts is not sufficient, it must be interpreted within the tradition of the Church, since both are equally inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The argument continues that Scripture was not given to individuals but to the Church. Therefore, the Church has the right to guide interpretation.
This is the foundation upon which the Catholic Church determines it has the right to change the Sabbath, substitute God’s Holy Days with false pagan holidays and institute a system of worship that would be foreign to the original Apostles.
