2 Lines of “Christianity”

On 2 June 2009, COGWriter Robert Thiel posted an article on how “There Were Only Two Main Groups That Claim Christ”.  Essentially, many modern historians now realize that the Christianity we see in the 1st century had radically altered by the 2nd century but there were a few “Nazarenes” that hung onto the original “Jewish” teachings.  Thiel summarizes a few statements by prominent people of the time to show the divergence of teachings.

Thiel ends his piece with “What group does your church belong to?”

My question is more along the lines of, “If an outsider looked at the ‘Nazarene Christians’, then would they find one unified group or would they find 400 squabbling groups all claiming to the the ‘One True Church’?”
