Frankly, I admire the courage of the pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas to say what’s on his mind. I wonder how many threats against his life will be made by the fringes of such a “peaceful religion”.
The problem is that Mohammed himself supported violence, hatred, killing, even lying for the religion (seriously, look it up!) and the subjugation of women and children. As a result, the Koran supports it. You can try to water it down, just like any other religion can water down what’s written in its texts, but when the basis, the foundation, of a religion is such a thing, then it should be no wonder that the result is an oppressive, violent and uncompassionate religion.
