Now that so-called same-sex “marriage” has been legalized, now what?

[Ironically, this post was originally posted 2 years to the day (which means this is the anniversary of the act that prompted the post to begin with) that this edited repost has been put up. Given yesterday’s landmark decision, it seems appropriate to now repost it before it becomes illegal to do so.]

There is no branch of the US government today that is untouched by corruption, political pandering, deceit and dishonesty.  For example, today’s ruling by the Supreme Court striking down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was based upon it being a federal law, which was ruled should not interfere with state law.  Except, of course, when states like California actually passed such a law, it was ruled unconstitutional as well.  The entire ruling is based upon a set of lies, and once again we see the SCOTUS trying to talk out of both sides of their collective mouths.
First, we may as well burn the Constitution right now.  It has become obvious that we are now a nation of government over the people by the lawyers and for the politicians.
Second, we may as well acknowledge that all of this social experimentation is not going to stop until we have utterly destroyed ourselves as a nation.  It was tried with no-fault divorce, saying that people would be better off and divorces would not rise, but studies have shown the increase in single-parent homes and the detrimental effect upon youth.  We obviously still are trying to tell God how marriage should work, however, and the end result will be the destruction of marriage.
It was discovered by a few and covered up by many that “The Lie of ‘Gay Marriage’–Is Anyone Surprised?” is all just a ruse to get the gay lifestyle supported by many and destroy marriage all together.  Why?  Because they view traditional marriage as oppressive, old-fashioned and discriminatory by its very nature because of its religious undertones.
Many of these activists don’t want to change it; they want to do away with it entirely.  They know that once it becomes accepted, then all other lifestyles (and that won’t stop at polygamy, I assure you) must eventually be as well.  Then, marriage will no longer be anything special.
Let’s not dance around about it.  Homosexuality is not the most disgusting thing going.  Saying that God not only tolerates but blesses sin is.  God’s very character is based upon love, and it is in love that He deals with us in justice and righteousness.  An unjust God is not a loving God, and an unrighteous God is not worthy of worship.  Jesus said God’s word, what He says and has written, is truth.  God cannot lie.

¹⁶ For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
¹⁷ Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
¹⁸ That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Since He cannot lie, we know He does not change.He tells us this through His word.

To not acknowledge this is to remake God in our own image, according to our own desires, which is nothing less than idolatry.  He is God, not you and not I.  He makes the rules.  He created marriage.

⁴ And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

It’s just like the old-time preachers used to say: In the beginning, He made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.  Frankly, if you have a problem with that, take it up with God.
Because it isn’t about me or anyone else having a “lock on God”.  That is not just a stupid thing to say, it is the blasphemy of a man thinking he knows more than his Creator.

²² Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

It should be quite clear.  It should also be quite clear that there were many reasons Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, but a few are mentioned more than once.

⁷ Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Both fornication and “going after strange flesh” destroys marriages, families and lives.  One of the root words in “giving themselves over to fornication” is porneuo, which is a general purpose term for all sorts of sexual immorality.  “Strange” is rather ambiguous and open to interpretation, except in that it is not of the expected kind!  I hope I don’t have to fill in the blanks there.
This is where our society is going, and once a rock starts rolling downhill, it gathers speed.

²⁸ Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
²⁹ But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
³⁰ Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

We used to talk a lot about how quickly things will deteriorate in the time of the end.  However, what we tended to miscalculate was when the point of no return would be reached.  I suggest to you we have reached it, and like my rolling stone example, it started out slowly but now is picking up steam.
Yes, folks! Welcome to the United Sodom of America!
How quickly could things happen?  Very.  What could happen if we don’t pay attention?  Jesus Himself summed this up:

Now that it has been two years minus one day with the landmark ruling of same-sex “marriage”, we are yet closer to the utter destruction of our society as a whole.
Jesus spoke of a time when destruction would come so quickly that turning to get one’s coat would be a mistake. Paul wrote about sudden destruction. Jesus spoke over and over again about a time when events would take people unawares in spite of being in the middle of it all.
How could this be? We are under a certain type of insanity in this country where reality no longer matters. We remove words and symbols as though they will fix everything by oppressing people with different viewpoints. We think racism can be overcome by taking down a flag. We think a person can wake up one day feeling like they are of the opposite sex and must allow them into any restroom they wish — even in public schools where our children are supposed to be protected. We live in a society where a white woman can feel she is black, and there are idiots like Whoopi Goldberg — who should know better — stick up for her!
We pass laws and make judgments that go against sanity and even nature itself, and we will delude ourselves into destruction. We always thought it be punishment from another country, but they will only win because of the cancer we have tolerated from within.
