Avatar Changes

I had been using Simple Local Avatars for, well, a long time as a plugin to allow users to upload an avatar to replace the blah avatars that come with WordPress. Unfortunately, this plugin seems to have been abandoned since two years ago, so I reluctantly replaced it with another.
The good news is that it should work much the same as the old one.
The bad news is that the new plugin doesn’t seem to acknowledge the existing avatars.
Websites and especially blogs are works in progress, so I hope you can bear with this minor change. Even though I’ve slowed down on posting quite a lot, I am doing a lot behind the scenes to fend off hackers, scammers and other people with undesirable intentions. Outdated plugins are just one way that they use to gain access to a WordPress site, so I hope you can understand why I am making this change.
