When I first came across The Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible by AJ Jacobs, I have to admit I wasn’t sure what I wanted to get out of it. I felt ambivalent about the whole premise of an agnostic trying to live by the Bible “literally”. I wasn’t even sure what that could mean. After it is all said and done, I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Frankly, I’m not sure that the author does either.
