I’ve listened to a few UCG sermons recently that have impressed me. One is by Paul Luecke titled “Hub of Your Life“. In it, he points out that you can only have one center to your life, just as a wagon wheel can only have one hub. He jumps about somewhat as he compares and contrasts various possible hubs and a few of the ramifications. At one point, he even makes a distinction between “church” and “God”, which I thought was noteworthy.
However, one really old series that I still keep on my hard drive is the Home Office Compass Check United Church series on Go To Your Brother. It is an entire series of short messages about each step in the process. Well worth the listen.
Question: Does the “Go to your brother” concept apply to ministers as well as lay members?
