The Just War Theory is a doctrine that originated in India. It was introduced into the Christian world by the Catholic teachers Augustine of Hippo and Thomas Aquinas.
However, there are several problems with the teaching, and it is problematic squaring it against the NT teachings. So, it is fair to ask if there really is such a thing as a just war, and if so what are the criteria?
Much is discussed about war in the Book of Judges. After all, God Himself says He will use war in order to teach the Children of Israel ()!
